Hand drawn and painted in a detailed style. I am making a limited edition of 25 on beautiful museum quality cotton paper, mounted on board. I intend to sell them here of course, signed and numbered etc. they will be 14” on the long side and a 16 x 20 frame is ideal and quite affordable.
What began as an abstract drawing with a more minimal approach, ended up representing the two entrances and exits of the Panama Canal. I grew up there on the Equator and my father worked in the Canal Zone as did his brother, a police officer and my mother’s father worked as a builder. There are too many lives and politics to begin to tell the tale.
