Mixed media photography, digital painting, art and manipulation.
I took a photo in 2009 of a pay phone on a mosaic tile wall at a deserted strip mall that had been ripped out of its body leaving a skeleton of sorts. The death of this public phone, with memories of colorful people loitering, pagers, drug deals and probably pimps and ‘ho’s’ inspired me to try and capture the irony and madness that may have led up to its demise.
With a soundtrack by Blondie.
